Perry enjoys the visit to Nebraska

One of the top recruits in Texas is undoubtedly Chris Perry. The defensive lineman from Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge committed to Miami this summer, but has since opened it up a little bit. He took an unofficial to Oklahoma and now has his first official to Nebraska under his belt. What did he think about the trip.

Chris Perry hasn't had a lot of time to really sit down and reflect on the visit yet. The 6-foot-4 and 300 pound defensive lineman caught up with Big Red Report from the airport.

"I am at the airport right now," Perry said. "I just have to get my stuff checked in right now."

"It went real good, I liked it. The way that team is ran and the team chemistry stood out. I also like the community around the university."

While Perry wasn't able to see a game, that doesn't mean that he didn't learn anything about fan support. He said that he saw it everywhere.

"People were really cool around there. The whole community backs up their school. I felt that although there wasn't a game this weekend."

At the banquet, Perry really got a chance to see how important academics are to the program. "It just showed how serious they were about academics. That was really cool."

Perry hasn't had a chance to take any other official visits yet, but he was able to rate the visit to Nebraska.

"This was my first official visit. I went to Oklahoma unofficially. I would rate the Nebraska visit a "9".

The visit to Nebraska is at least one of three that Perry plans on making. "I am going to Arkansas next weekend and then I am going to Miami in January."
