Huskers land big one from Arizona!

It wasn't long ago that many wondered when Nebraska might be landing their first offensive lineman. Nebraska only brought in four offensive lineman for officials, but they have been very efficient with those four visitors. Marcel Jones was one of the four and committed last week. Today, Nebraksa got the second of the four offensive line visitors to commit.

Jaivorio Burkes is a Husker. The 6-foot-6 and 320-pound lineman from Phoenix (Ariz.) Moon Valley was down to Nebraska and Oklahoma and chose Nebraska today.

"He chose Nebraska this afternoon," said Burkes' brother over the phone today. "He isn't here though. You will have to try back tonight to talk to him."

Burkes becomes commitment number 28 for Nebraska and the second offensive line commitment along with fellow Arizonan, Marcel Jones. Jones is versatile and could play inside or outside.

"I'm very lucky to have really long arms. I think that will help me a lot. My athletic ability is definitely a strength too. Like every high school player, my weakness is that I tend to get lazy at times. I need to work on that a bit."
