Sullivan set to see Lincoln

A long awaited and repeatedly postponed visit will finally take place this weekend for Shawn Sullivan. It's always been about timing and the visit to Nebraska. Finally though, things seem to be in order for Sullivan to get a chance to take his official to Nebraska. Sullivan looking forward to campus and meeting all of the coaches among other things.

Shawn Sullivan has probably set, cancelled and then reset his official three or four times. This time though, for the cornerback from Brenham (Texas), it seems that he will finally take the trip.

"I am taking off on Friday," Sullivan said. "I get to see it, finally."

After all the times of setting and resetting, Sullivan would have to have a pretty good list of what he is looking for on his official visit to Lincoln.

"I am looking forward to seeing the campus, really meeting all of the coaches, getting to talk to them and really seeing eye to eye with them."

Something that Sullivan has given though to was the chance that he could potentially play next year. It was actually a selling point with him.

"I think there is a really good chance that I play next year. They pretty much already said that I could come in and play. I am not thinking about red-shirting."

"They want me to be ready. They are thinking that I can come in and play early. They want me to be ready to come in and play cornerback for them."

The biggest reason that Sullivan hadn't made his official visit yet was because he didn't have a test score yet. Sullivan has received that score, finally. "I got a 21 on my ACT. I am fully qualified. It's a done deal."
