Ross clears the air

In a fairly shocking report, a Portland Tribune report stated that Nebraska commitment David Ross had committed to Oregon State on a recent official visit. Needless to say, Ross is one of the top recruits for Nebraska class and would be a steal for Oregon State to get. Did Ross commit while he was at Oregon State or is this rumor simply not true?

A recent Portland Tribune story stated that David Ross, a 6-foot-1 and 185-pound cornerback from Compton (Calif.) Dominguez, committed on a recent trip to Oregon State. It seems that report is only half true.

"I did take an official visit to Oregon State," Ross said. "I didn't commit though. There is no reason to believe that."

The report cited no sources and had no quotes about the commitment. There wasn't a quote from Ross or any of his coaches. Even more, he hasn't been contacted the any reporter yet to talk about that article.

"I haven't had a chance to talk to any reporters at all about that report."

Ross reiterated that he is set to be a Husker. Big Red Report will run another article with Ross' words about his commitment to Nebraska. "My heart is at Nebraska. It's pretty far away, but that is where my heart is."
