Where will Schulte count?

After some recent decommitment events with Nebraska, it seemed that maybe they might have found a person to get into their class when Aaron Schulte's name was announced. It's still a possibility that Schulte could report this fall, but after talking to the huge lineman from Norfolk (Nebr.) Catholic, that isn't the plan.

Nebraska announced 28 signees with Aaron Schulte being one of those 28. However, the 6-foot-6 and 320 pound lineman said that it isn't clear which class he'll be in.

"I don't know," Schulte said. "Nebraska told me to sign the papers and I did. I am still considered a greyshirt."

A greyshirt, for now. It's still possible that Schulte could be in Lincoln this fall if some things fall into place for him.

"It all depends on some other guys. If those guys don't come through they are going to bring me down this year."

"There is still some chances that I could be part of this class. Nothing is out. It's wait and see right now."

Yesterday trying to track down Schulte, his mom mentioned that he was in Lincoln getting his knee looked at. Schulte said that it's not a serious injury.

"It's an injury that happened a couple of years ago. I was just going to get it looked at."

"I never really wanted to do anything about it because I would miss so much. It really happened my sophomore year."

Schulte will have the knee scoped to fix a small tear in his meniscus. An injury that he has just dealt with for two years.

"They told me that I have a slight tear in my meniscus. I don't know how to explain it. It kind of locks up and I have to pop it."
