Robinson misses Nebraska junior day

One of the early, in-state offers for Nebraska was Trevor Robinson. Robinson, an offensive lineman from Elkhorn (Nebr.), proceeded to get offered by the likes of Notre Dame and Michigan. Following Robinson through recruiting is going to stay interesting until he finally commits. Robinson was set to see Nebraska this weekend, but wasn't in attendence.

Trevor Robinson, the 6-foot-5 and 300-pound lineman from Elkhorn (Nebr.), was set to see Nebraska's junior day this weekend. However, an illness and an absent position coach kept him away.

"I didn't go," Robinson said. "I am just now getting over a cold. Coach Wagner wasn't going to be there either. It rained quite a bit and then it froze."

The weather conditions might have been the nail in the coffin for Robinson not making it. A 45 minute trip usually can get hazardous with bad weather.

"Lincoln is pretty easy to get to, normally. I can get there pretty much whenever I want to."

Besides the junior day to Lincoln, Robinson has a junior day visit set up to see South Bend. That visit will be this coming weekend.

"I have one set up for Notre Dame. I believe that date is March 4. That is the last junior day that I have planned."

Besides Nebraska and Notre Dame, who seem to be two of three teams on his leader board, is Michigan. Robinson will be making a trip to Michigan as well for a spring practice.

"I am planning on going to Ann Arbor for a spring practice. I am not sure when that is."

The view sometimes becomes that it's not necessary to camp at a school that has already offered. Robinson agreed, but the convenience of getting to Lincoln from Elkhorn will probably allow Robinson to still make it.

"Not a necessity, but I am considering it. I mean, it's 45 minutes down I80, so it probably wouldn't hurt. I haven't really thought a whole lot about it yet."

Robinson is busy trying to improve. He said that he has put on a little weight since the season got over and with that comes the need to work on flexibility, speed and quickness.

"I am trying to work on flexibility a little bit. That is the big thing. I have put on a little bit of weight after the season, five or 10 pounds, so flexibility is the big thing."

"Also maintain my quickness and speed. I am also spending a lot of time in the weight room doing weight lifting now."
