Williams sets up a couple of trips

There will probably be five or six spots in this year's recruiting class for Nebraska along the defensive line. The open end position is one of those positions that Nebraska is looking to address. It seems that one of their top prospects at the open end position is looking to take a trip to Lincoln in July and make a decision shortly after.

Josh Williams from Denton (Texas) Ryan is still reeling in the offers. The 6-foot-4 and 220 pound defensive end is out of school and the offers are still rolling in.

"We are finally out of school," Williams said. "Nothing much is going on now, but I did get a couple of new offers. I got one from Rice and one from North Texas."

"All of my offers are from Nebraska, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Missouri, Arizona, Baylor, TCU, SMU, Rice, North Texas, San Diego State and there is at least one more. I am around 12 total offers.

There are a couple of teams that are emerging for Williams from the dozen or so offers that he is holding. Out of those two though, it's a dead heat.

"I would say that Nebraska and Arkansas are my leaders. Those two are pretty much neck and neck."

Williams is planning on taking a couple of trips in July. He will visit Arkansas on July 21st and then will be in Lincoln on July 27th.

This is what Williams said about his thoughts on Arkansas, "I like the fact that they are a dominant program in the SEC. They play good football."

Williams had this to say about Nebraska, "I like that Nebraska is a dominant program in the Big 12. I think that another thing that stands out for them is their academics."

The interesting thing about Williams trips in July might be his commitment time frame. He might commit right after the trips or at least would like to make a decision a couple of weeks after before fall camp starts.

"I plan on making a commitment late this summer. Maybe as early as July. I want to get it done before the summer ends or the fall camp starts."
