It's where his heart is

It might have been the longshot of the two weekend visitors to commit, but Nebraska did get a commitment today from a heralded junior college player from California. His commitment, fills a huge need in the class that needs immediate help at his position. In the end, it came down to the people of Nebraska and following his heart.

It wasn't long ago that Shaun Mohler was set to be a California Bear. Only a couple of months later and that decision is behind him and a new one has taken place.

"Nebraska is the one!" Mohler said. "I'm a Cornhusker, baby!"

Mohler returned late today from an official visit to Lincoln. He was going to Lincoln to confirm what he had heard and been reading about so much.

"I just loved all of it. There are some great people there."

One of those great people, to Mohler, is head coach Bill Callahan. Callahan made a great impression on Mohler and Mohler is excited to call him coach in the near future.

"Coach Callahan is just a great coach and a great person. I'm really excited."

Mohler said that everything went absolutely perfect on his visit to Lincoln. "I just had a great time. That's where my heart is."
