Lynn headed up to Lincoln in July

Usually it's teammates that take trips together to check out schools. Later this month for Nebraska, it will be a couple of players, two of the best at their respective positions in the nation, will be meeting in Lincoln to check out Nebraska. For one, it's the second time in Lincoln. For the other, he's hearing that the visit to Lincoln will exceed expectations.

D'Anton Lynn is a player that has burst onto the recruiting scene and hasn't seen his popularity decline at all. Lynn, a 6-foot-1 and 177-pound athlete from Celina (Texas), has been busy this summer and is just coming off of a little rest and relaxation.

"The summer is going fine," Lynn said. "I have been to a lot of camps this year. I went to USC, Penn State and Louisville's camp. I just took a vacation the past couple of weeks, went to Florida."

The rest from vacation is officially over as Lynn and his teammates set their sights on the state seven on seven tournament. Lynn says that with the new classifications that he feels that Celina should go far.

"We have seven on seven this weekend. The state tournament is down in College Station. It's by classification this year and we made it to the final 16 my sophomore year. I think that we will make it far."

After this weekend, Lynn will be heading back to Florida, but this time for a little work. The week after that will lead Lynn north to see Lincoln, Nebr.

"The 20th of July I will be going to the Friday Night Lights camp down at Florida. The 27th of July I will be going to Nebraska for an unofficial visit."

On all of these unofficial visits, Lynn says that the keys for him is to really get a feel for the coaching staff. He also likes to just get out and see the town and get a feel for how he fits in.

"Pretty much the coaching staff. I like to walk around the campus and just drive around with the family to see how I will fit in and stuff."

The chance to go to Florida for camp is something that Lynn is obviously excited about. He is actually from the state of Florida and knows that the camp is by invite only.

"Florida is my most recent offer and I used to live in Florida. That is my favorite state, I just love Florida. I am real excited about that camp and it's only by invitation only. The best in the nation will be there."

The Nebraska trip is something that Lynn is excited to go see because, from what he hears, it will exceed his expectations. Lynn is meeting a friend up there that he met at the Penn State camp.

"I am meeting D.J. Woods up there in Lincoln. I met him at the Penn State camp earlier. He said that Nebraska is a lot better than I might think. He said that it's football crazy there and it seems like a real fun place to go to college."

Lynn is sitting on a pile of offers and one of the main reasons why so many teams have offered is because of Lynn's versatility. Bringing in Lynn could mean that he could play a number of different positions.

"I think that my main thing is my versatility; I can play offense or I could play defense, I can play cornerback, running back, wide receiver or safety. I can play a lot of different places and that gives me an advantage."
