For the second year, Special Olympic Nebraskans will join the Huskers in advance of Fan Day as the team takes position group and team photos.  Public gates will open at 10 a.m. providing fans a great opportunity to meet their favorite players and coaches, take a snapshot, and get a favorite item autographed.  Free blank autograph cards and rosters the day of the event.

The players and coaches will leave their seats at 11:30 a.m. to continue their schedules for the remainder of the day. Fans are asked to respect the time of the players, coaches, and other Husker fans and to limit their autograph requests to one item per coach or player.  As always, there is not admission to attend Fan Day.

Public Tours of the New Husker Athletic Facilities
Back by popular demand, the Nebraska Athletic Department staff will welcome fans on a walking video tour of the Hawks Championship Center and the Tom and Nancy Osborne Athletic Complex beginning at 10 a.m. and concluding at 2 p.m.  Those interested in seeing the new facilities should meet at the tour's starting point, the northwest corner of the Hawks Championship Center.  More than 11,000 Husker Fans participated in the first public tour last fall, and while the actual walking video tour will last approximately 20 minutes, fans should expect that lines will form and there will be a waiting period.  Please do not plan to leave children unattended in Memorial Stadium for Fan Day or allow Fan Day Participants to join you in line.

On the tour, fans will get to see the lobby of the Osborne Athletic Complex including the stunning 40-foot waterfall, the Strength Complex, Athletic Medicine areas and Hawks Championship Center, and will sneak a peek inside the football locker room.  Please note that from 11:30 – 11:45 a.m., the locker room will close down for 15 minutes as the players come in from Fan Day to change.  The tour will end at the northwest gate in Memorial Stadium as fans take the "Tunnel Walk" from the locker room out to the field.  Tour fans will exit the Stadium through Gate 11.

Guided tours continue to be available on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. throughout the year, while self-guided tours can be taken anytime on weekdays from 8 a.m.to 5 p.m.  Guided tours and self-guided tours will allow fans to see the Osborne Athletic Complex lobby, strength complex, athletic medicine areas and the field, but do not allow access to the locker room.
