Misses one trip, will he make it to Nebraska?

It's a little un-nerving to read about players not making scheduled trips to see schools. On the surface, it seems that interest might have changed. Josh Williams was supposed to visit Arkansas this weekend (7/21) and Nebraska next weekend (7/28). The first visit didn't happen, but will he make the second?

It's not been the best week for Josh Williams. A death in the family has prevented the 6-foot-4 and 220-pound defensive end from Denton (Texas) Ryan from making a trip.

"I was supposed to visit Arkansas," Williams said. "I couldn't go to Arkansas though because I had a funeral that was on Saturday. My great aunt, my mom's aunt, passed away."

Williams said that not getting that trip was a bit disappointing, but he has his eyes set on the upcoming weekend that was supposed to be his second of two trips that will now be his first.

"I am still heading up to Nebraska this coming weekend. I will be leaving here on Friday and I think that we will be leaving there real early on Sunday morning to come back."

Williams says that he has been hearing from other recruits that are committed, or considering Nebraska, about their experiences in Lincoln on trips and what to expect. Williams will be looking at some key things.

"I really want to see the facilities and check them out. I also want to meet all of the coaches and get a feel for the atmosphere that is up there. I have been talking to some people about what to expect on my trip."

Last season Williams had 68 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, eight quarterback pressures, six sacks, and six deflected passes last year. He earned all-district and all-area honors lass year as a junior.
