Trevor Robinson speaks

The recruiting process isn't what it used to be. A once quiet, much more personal process is now reported by multiple networks over multiple types of media. When someone does something like decommit, it usually starts a firestorm of controversy and phone calls are sure to follow. Trevor Robinson, to this point, hasn't said much since his decommitment.

The one time Nebraska commitment and, four-star offensive lineman, Trevor Robinson, was in Lincoln this weekend for an unofficial visit. The 6-foot-5 and 300-pound Robinson commented on the visit.

"Yeah, I was at practice yesterday," Robinson said. "They looked pretty good. I was just watching the offensive line, mostly, and some of their work against the defensive line. I got a chance to watch part of the scrimmage. It was pretty cool."

While in Lincoln, Robinson and his dad got a chance to go back and look at the academic portion of the university and got on the field for practice. There was only a little bit of time to talk to the coaches on the field.

"Yeah, just a little bit. When we got there, Nebraska was just starting to do some of their drill work. I got a chance to talk to a few of them just between drills, but not too much."

The process is getting ready to go pretty quiet for Robinson. The trip to Lincoln this weekend was a chance to re-examine some things. Now, it's about thinking over the decision and finding out where he fits best.

"I mean right now, it's just a lot of thinking. I am not talking to people a whole lot. I am just trying to figure out where I am going to feel comfortable and where I feel like I am going to fit in the best."

The trip to Lincoln this past weekend will more than likely be Robinson's last unofficial visit. After this, it's probably just going to be official visits to a few schools.

"The only visits that I will take now would have to be officials. I really don't think that there is anything left to see. Right now, I don't see myself taking any more unofficial visits anywhere."

While Robinson seems set to take some official visits, he doesn't have any set up as of now. "I don't have any official visits set up to anywhere. Not yet anyway."

Elkhorn (Nebr.) opens their fall camp tomorrow. Robinson is hoping that the hard work he put in this summer pays off. He wanted to get enough cardio in to prepare him for the season playing both ways.

"We start two-a-days tomorrow. I have been working out a lot. I spent most of my time conditioning and trying to get into shape. I will be playing both ways this year, playing defensive tackle too."

Year in and year out, Elkhorn is a powerhouse in their class. While they don't that the experience of a year ago they still have a lot of talent. Robinson thinks that this could he a very good Elkhorn team.

"Our goal is the state championship, obviously. I think that we have all of the tools that we need to get there. We're not very experienced. We should be able to move the ball this season."
