Huskers to host D/FW area ATH

There aren't a lot of spots left in the 2008 recruiting class for Nebraska, so each spot is very valuable. How Nebraska might help out in getting the most out of those last remaining spots would be to get an athlete or two. This coming Saturday, when USC comes to town, Nebraska will be hosting one of the top athletes in the state of Texas.

This weekend is still a go for Adrian Bushell to see Nebraska. The 5-foot-11 and 180-pound athlete from DeSoto (Texas) will be in Lincoln this weekend for an official visit.

"Yes, I am still going to Nebraska this weekend," Bushell said. "I will be getting into Lincoln sometime on Saturday morning."

Bushell wants to see how Nebraska plays against the #1 team in the nation, for starters. He also wants to see what it's like in Lincoln on gameday.

"Really, I am looking forward to seeing how Nebraska matches up against USC. That is really what I want to see the most and the atmosphere."

DeSoto will definitely be one of the top teams in the state of Texas this year, due in large part to Bushell and his versatility. He was all over the field for DeSoto in their first game which happened to be a win.

"We are 1-0 so far. I had about 50 yards rushing and two touchdowns. I had another punt return for a touchdown. On defense I had an interception and about four tackles."

Bushell transferred to DeSoto from Miami (Flor.) Pace HS. As a running back at Pace, Bushell had around 1,500 all-purpose yards, 1,100 rushing and 400 receiving, but will play running back, wide receiver, special teams and cornerback at DeSoto his senior year.
