Robinson enjoys latest visit to Lincoln

There is little doubt that one of the biggest targets left for Nebraska is Trevor Robinson. The 6-foot-5 and 300-pound offensive lineman from Elkhorn (Nebr.) originally committed to Nebraska back in April, but has since re-opened his process. The standout lineman has been in Lincoln for each of the first two home games of Nebraska.

Nebraska fans have to feel good about Trevor Robinson making it to Lincoln for another unofficial visit. The 6-foot-5 and 300-pound lineman from Elkhorn (Nebr.) said that visit went good.

"I was in Lincoln this weekend," Robinson said. "I thought that my visit to Nebraska went pretty well."

This weekend was extraordinary for Nebraska because of the number of visitors that were in town. Robinson said that he spoke to quite a few of them.

"I spoke to Bryce Givens quite a bit. I also spoke to Collins Okafor, Sean Fisher, Dan Hoch, Will Compton and Blaine Gabbert quite a bit."

The loss to USC by Nebraska was something that hung over the weekend a bit. Robinson took note of the strong start by Nebraska and the opponent's offensive line.

"Obviously they gave up quite a few yards against USC, but they started out really well. I was more impressed with USC's offensive line than anything."

Robinson said that not a lot came to mind about possibly being able to help Nebraska in the running game department. That idea is more of a bigger picture and that in the immediate future a redshirt is probably a reality wherever he goes.

"That's the idea, but I think that wherever I go there will be a redshirt year. I would like to play early, but physically the situation is there are guys that have been in the program for a couple of years."

"That time in the program is a big advantage to them. To be honest, I don't even think about playing real early. There are guys that have been there and gone through the program for a while."

It's been said that Robinson was going to commit in the first month or so of the season, but there is still no decision or timeframe for a decision as of yet. When he knows he will do something about it.

"Yeah, I guess. I want to do something. I guess it's just as soon as I know I will pull the trigger. Right now, for me, it's just kind of hard to figure out."

Robinson said that there aren't any plans to any other schools in the immediate future to help him sort things out. He thinks that he has seen everything at all three schools that he is considering.

"I don't have any plans to take any trips to Michigan or Notre Dame right now. I think that I have seen everything at those two schools. I talk to their coaches every once in a while and I will commit where I feel most comfortable."

On the official visit, Robinson did admit that some of the Nebraska visitors were hitting him up about re-committing to Nebraska. Most of it was made in jest, but it was obvious that they want him as part of the class, again.

"I mean, some yes and some no. Some guys were asking me when I was going to commit and asking if I was going to do it today, joking around and stuff. Some are just more laid back about it."
