"Things are good and football is great," Reiff said. "We are 3-2 right now. I don't know what my stats are off the top of my head."
Reiff is contributing on both sides of the football for Parkston. Although he isn't sure on his stats, he says that this year has been good for him already.
"I am playing both ways. I play tight end on offense and then on the line on defense. I am having good years on both sides of the ball."
Reiff took a trip to Lincoln for the spring game and committed to Iowa shortly after. Despite being a Hawkeye commitment, Reiff took a trip to Lincoln for the USC game.
"I was in Lincoln for the USC game. It was pretty sweet down there. I had been to Lincoln for the spring game before. It was a lot more crazy and still more people for a real game."
Reiff acknowledged the amount of time between then and signing day when it came to making the trip to Lincoln. The game was one that he wanted to see in person, despite still being committed to another school.
"I just kind of felt like I wanted to take a look around a little bit. It's a long time until signing day. It was a game that I wanted to go see. I would say I am still committed to Iowa right now."
From a previous interview, Reiff commented that he might not have cleared the visit to Lincoln before going. He has since spoken to the Iowa coaches. "I have talked to the Iowa coaches. I don't really know what is going on, I am going through things day by day."
Reiff isn't sure if he will visit Lincoln again. There is nothing set in stone though. "I don't know if I will take an official visit to Nebraska. I am not sure yet about that."
Reiff got a feel for Lincoln working there all summer. He still talks to some people from the area and they are partly responsible for him taking the additional unofficial trip to see Nebraska against a real opponent.
"I worked down there all summer so I really got a feel for Nebraska. I talk to a bunch of people down there. They told me that the spring game doesn't compare to a real game and I wanted to see."
Another reason Reiff said that he took a trip to see Lincoln was because Nebraska has never stopped recruiting him. Their persistence seems to be paying off.
"Nebraska has still been after me since I committed to Iowa. That is another one of the reasons, that and wanting to see it again, that I took the trip to Lincoln."
