Makes commitment

It's been a touch few weeks for Nebraska fans. However, today there was good reason to be very positive about the future, and more to the point, next year. One of the top prospects in the recruiting world removed his name from the list of being available and made his commitment to Nebraska on Tuesday after noon.

Catching most of the Nebraska Cornhusker fans off-guard, Simi Kuli has decided that he will wear Husker red and white next season in Lincoln. Coach Tim Hyde from Torrance (Calif.) El Camino commented on the commitment.

"Yes it's true," Coach Tim Hyde said. "Simi called up Nebraska at about 4:00 Pacific time today to commit."

Coach Hyde was unable to get Kuli to comment today, a day that consists of a lot of team meetings and film review after practice, but was going to line something up with Scout.com later in the week.

Nebraska fans should be excited with the commitment from arguably the top defensive end or five-technique in the nation. Landing Kuli might also put the Huskers in a situation to get Justin Thompson or even Tavares Pressley as well from El Camino.
