Missouri TE comes to Lincoln

Ranked as the second best TE in the state of Missouri, Martin Rucker has been getting his share of attention. Looking at three teams, Rucker has taken the opportunities to get to know as much as he can about each. This last weekend, Rucker had a chance to get to know 2 teams better at the same time as he went up to Lincoln to see the Missouri Tigers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers play.

Martin Rucker -St Joseph, MO (Benton)- (TE-6'5-205-4.65/40) While you can label this as an unofficial visit to Martin it was more than that "It was a chance to see my top two team play on the field."

As for his thoughts on the game "I didn't think Nebraska was going to win, alot of folks didnt. Nebraska has talent on both sides of the ball and it showed."

The highlight of the trip according to Martin was eating at the training table "It was a very neat experience. They have a nutritionist who would come and sit with the players. They tell you if you need more fat or more protein, they truly try to help you become a better athlete by eating correctly. That was great."

Martin has two officials set up a week a part in December. On the 6th he will go to Missouri and then the following week he will take his official in Lincoln. Colorado St. is still high on Martins list and he is currently trying to work something out with them to get an official set up there later in the season as well.

Martin had 2 catches in last weeks game for roughly 30 yards and 1 sack in Benton High's 4th loss of the season. "It just wasn't a good game for me, for everyone."
