Coach Solich announced today that Jammal Lord would be playing this weekend and that he would start. This following a recent citation issued to Lord for disturbing the peace. Coach Solich commented about Lord's status and any punishments he will face. "He will play for us on Saturday." Solich stated. "He [Jammal] has been put under some guidelines that are within an internal part of our operations. Along with that, he will be involved some support systems that will be mandatory for him to attend."
Coach Solich stated that because Jammal was issued the one citation and not additional citations as in the case of Greichaly Cepero, the overall punishment was deemed adequate. "Jammal did handle himself in such a manner that no other tickets or anything else was done as far as the officers were concerned. We are disappointed of course. We don't condone that tickets were issued and that alcohol was a part in this."
Greichaly Cepero, a starter for the Nebraska Volleyball team will miss at least one game for her involvement in the incident, but coach Cook said that the total number of games was as of yet undetermined.
