Husker state prep star, Chris LeFlore

It's said that Nebraska keeps all their in-state studs. For the most part, that is true. And with Chris LeFlore, you might think that would be likewise, because he isn't just from the Husker state, he's got a brother playing for them right now. That should guarantee the Huskers a shoe-in, right? Maybe and maybe not.

Chris Leflore (Omaha, Ne (Central)) (DB-5'10-180) Chris is currently the starting DB and WR for his Central High School team and is more excited about where he is now then where he could end up "I'm very excited about where we are right now, were 5-1 it's been along time since we've had a start like this. We're all pumped, this could be the year."

While living in the shadow of his older brother (Mark, NU Cornhusker) doesn't bother him, he puts it on himself to step out of that shadow and make a name for himself "I already got 3 interceptions in 6 games and they're not even throwing to my side of the field very much, I think I'm making the most of the chances I get." To go along with those INT's he also has 8 pass break ups and 35 tackles. On the offensive side of the ball things aren't going as smoothly having only 7 receptions for app. 120 yards. But it matters little since he is being looked at as a DB at the next level.

Having no scholarship offers at this current time he is constantly hearing from the same four schools "Nebraska, Iowa St., Iowa and U Conn all keep in pretty constant contact with me. Coach (Dan) Young (Neb) call me right before my game last week. U Conn also calls quiet a bit."

He has yet to take any officials but will try to visit all four of those schools who have been in contact with him "Growing up in Nebraska you kind of want to go there, but if you can't you'd like to stay close. But I'm not ruling out U Conn."

Chris has yet to take the ACT/SAT and has a 2.6 core GPA
