Short notice visitor

Back in September or October, the running back position had two commits for Nebraska. Today, there is just one and it seems that the new Nebraska staff still would like to get a second running back in this class. Although they had fallen out of contact a little the past couple of months, Nebraska is bringing in this Texas running back.

The Huskers are looking to bring in one of the top runners in the state of Texas this weekend, LaMichael James. James, a 5-foot-9 and 185-pound running back from Texarkana (Texas) Liberty-Eylau just verified his visit with Nebraska.

"I missed a call from J.P. (John Papuchis) a second ago," James said. "But, I just called him back and I am heading up to Nebraska this Friday."

James hasn't had a lot of opportunities to talk to the new staff at Nebraska. In fact, it's been pretty limited. Tomorrow though, he will get a good chance to get ready for his visit.

"I get to meet Bo Pelini tomorrow. He's coming to see me. It's important that I get a chance to meet him. I like his energy when I saw him at LSU and I think that he will be a really good head coach."

From the beginning, there has been a bit of a soft spot for Nebraska with James. Despite the lack of communication up until now, James says that hasn't changed a whole lot.

"I still like them, it's still the same. I mean, it's Nebraska. I have always liked them. I just don't know a lot about them."

There is some optimism by some that he will commit on his trip. James doesn't think that will happen. He would like to take some of his other trips before committing.

"I don't think that I will commit this weekend. I would like to take all of my visits. I have that kind of laid out already."
