Fisher will see Lincoln

It's not like Sean Fisher hasn't seen the University of Nebraska before. His dad lettered there in the early 80's and it's a hop, skip and a jump down I-80 from Omaha. However, visits have been set up, cancelled, rescheduled only to be cancelled again. This weekend seems like the weekend for Sean Fisher to see Lincoln officially, finally.

One of only about 10 commitments to hold their ground on their commitment to Nebraska, Sean Fisher will be in Lincoln this weekend for an official visit. The 6-foot-5 and 215-pound OLB from Omaha (Nebr.) Millard North is excited.

"Yes I am," Fisher said. "I had to take the ACT one weekend. Then I was set to see Nebraska for the Kansas State game, but all of the visits were cancelled."

If Fisher had to guess, getting his visit pushed off until this weekend is probably for hte better. He will get a chance to really get to know the new staff members at Nebraska on his official visit.

"I think that it's worked out for the best. I will get to sit down with Coach Eckeler. I want to get a feel for what they are planning to do. I need to start to establish that relationship with him."

While the relationship and getting a feel for what the Nebraska coaches are planning on doing is big, Fisher has some other things that he must do. Saturday is a big day for the official visitors to meet with the academic folks at Nebraska.

"The academic part is Saturday and taht is a big deal. It's big because I am thinking about becoming a doctor. I am planning on specializing in cosmetic surgery."

Fisher has had some contact with the new staff at Nebraska since all of the changes took place. While none of them were in-home, he did have some pretty important visitors showing up at his school.

"I didn't take an in-home with the new staff yet. Tom Osborne came by my school twice already. Coach Bo Pelini and Mike Eckeler also came by the school to see me once. I have spoken with Coach Eckeler quite a bit."
