The 6-2, 215-pound linebacker prospect from Madisonville, Texas had nice things to say about his official visit to Stillwater. He even said he could see himself playing for anprogram that was up and coming like Oklahoma State. Whaley might have wanted to say that he could see himself in orange if he didn't wind up in scarlet.
This week Baylor moved in on Whaley and wanted him to visit this weekend. He had originally scheduled Arizona State for this weekend. Now it will be neither.
"I am going to leave for Nebraska on Saturday morning after my basketball game," said Whaley. "Yes, I am close to committing to Nebraska, and I could commit while I'm there this weekend."
From the sound of his voice, I think you can count on it. The Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday on Monday allows for prospects to go on visits late after basketball games or even take two visits in one weekend.
It worked out well for Whaley, and now it looks like it will work out well for Whaley in getting hitched with the Huskers. He also said that if he commits he will not take anymore visits.
