Visit goes well for Prater

Nebraska is making a late run at one of the more athletic players in the state of Nebraska. The Huskers are looking at Shaun Prater, a 5-foot-10 and 165-pound athlete from Omaha (Nebr.) Central to come in and potentially play offense or defense. Prater has been committed to Iowa since June, was this visit enough to get him guessing about his commitment?

Shaun Prater was supposed to make it into Lincoln this weekend with his brother, Shane Prater. However, Shane backed off from the visit and shored up his commitment to Iowa.

Shaun followed through on the visit plans and was in Lincoln all day today. The 5-foot-10 and 165-pound athlete from Omaha (Nebr.) Central said that the visit went well.

"It went great," Prater said. "The entire coaching staff and players were what I liked the most."

Prater said that this was really the first chance he has had to see what Nebraska has to offer. Prater came away impressed with the coaching staff the most.

"It was the first time that I had a chance to talk to them and they were all very honest and down to Earth guys."

The visit, itself, hit high in all of the areas that Prater was looking at when it comes to comparing Nebraska to Iowa.

"Actually, Nebraska hit all of the requirements that I was looking for when it comes to what I was looking for."
