Cooper set to see Lincoln

The question that keeps coming up is: Who is Nebraska going to get at wide receiver? Recently, Nebraska has hosted a couple of receivers. However, there is still a couple of receivers set to see Lincoln. Khiry Cooper has a visit set to travel north and see what Lincoln has to offer.

The Huskers are moving in on at least a couple of wide receivers. One of the receivers set to see Lincoln in the coming weeks is Khiry Cooper from Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist Academy.

"Right now he's scheduled to go to Arkansas this coming weekend," Head Coach Doug Pederson said. "He's scheduled to go to Nebraska the following weekend."

The two trips that Cooper has set up may not be all that he takes. With only two weekends to take trips, teams would have to get a player to make a trip, mid-week, and miss some school time.

"He's going to make those two trips for sure. Beyond that, we're going to try and squeeze him into possibly Texas A&M during the week or either next week."

For the moment though, Cooper is set to only visit two with the third pending. "Nebraska and Arkansas are the only two that are penciled in on the calendar."

Cooper is a 6-foot-2 and 175-pound receiver with 4.5/40 speed. Cooper was voted to the class 2A all-state squad after totaling 60 receptions for 1,037 yards and 16 touchdowns during the regular season.
