With Quintin Toailoa on-board, Nebraska has at least one high school defensive tackle in the class already. However, it looks like Nebraska is interested in grabbing at least one more. After recently losing Eddie Brown from Waller (Texas) the Nebraska staff turned their sights on another Texas DT.
Although Jowyn Ward
, a 6-foot-2 and 265-pound defensive tackle from Katy (Texas) Mayde Creek, is listed as an Arizona
commitment planned to visit Nebraska
this weekend. That has changed though.
"I was going to visit Nebraska," Ward said. "I decided not to take my visit up there anymore."
Ward really needed a chance to sit down and talk about things about his commitment and the process. Ward said that he got some advice from his coach.
"I got to talking with my coach about my situation. I then just determined that I was fine with where I was at now."
Ward has been to Nebraska before having attended a Junior Day last year. Ward remains a solid commitment for Arizona.
