Huskers Step up for Rogers and Wald

Nebraska has been bringing in teammates and brothers for official visits, and a pair from Alabama seems to be having a tremendous time on their visit, but of course the news that they are both getting offers did not hurt. caught up with Rogers for a brief moment, even though he was still in Lincoln on the visit.

Justin Rogers, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete from Vestavia High in Birmingham Ala., seems to be having a great time on the Nebraska official visit.

"I am actually still up here," Rogers said in response when he was asked how the visit had gone. "So far it is going pretty good."

In addition his teammate Mason Wald, a 6-foot-0, 190-pound safety is probably having a terrific day as well, because the duo reports that the Huskers have stepped up to the plate with an offer for both of them.

"Yeah they did," Rogers said when asked if both players did receive an official scholarship offer on the visit. "We have not made a commitment yet."

Rogers has been one of the most exciting prep players in the state of Alabama the past few years. He boasts 5,322 yards career rushing at Vestavia in his sophomore through senior year with 59 touchdowns. Rogers touched the ball 725 times. In his senior season the speedy Rogers carries the ball 328 times for 2,110 yards where he scored 28 touchdowns.
