Late addition to weekend's list

It was a small, but significant weekend for Nebraska when it comes to recruiting this last weekend before signing day. The Huskers were bringing in a pair of wide receivers, but at the last second Nebraska was able to get a visit set up with a cornerback from the Dallas metroplex. Who is this cornerback?

The weekend was just supposed to consist of two, weekend visitors for Nebraska, but it's two plus one. Nebraska brought in two receivers and this Dallas area cornerback.

It has been confirmed to Big Red Report that Terran Benton is in Lincoln this weekend for an official visit. Benton, a 5-foot-11 and 170-pound cornerback, hails from Arlington (Texas) Mansfield Summit.

Nebraska has been wanting to shore up some spots in the defensive secondary for this 2008 class. Nebraska just received a commitment from Alphonzo Dennard, who is a cornerback, and Courtney Osborne, who is a safety.

Nebraska is still in the running for other defensive secondary players like P.J. Smith, Charles Mitchell and Mason Wald. Big Red Report will bring you more information on Benton and the other official visitors following the conclusion of the trip.
