Ohio ATH chooses the Huskers

It might as well be the eleventh hour on LOI Eve and Nebraska is getting another commitment. Well, the commitment is actually just becoming public. This Ohio standout actually committed this weekend to the head coach of Nebraska and not a moment too soon. The Husker class seems to be creeping closer and closer to capacity and this player wanted to reserve a spot.

There is a bit of a misconception out there. Tim Marlowe didn't just get a Nebraska offer, he's had one. He's actually had the offer since he visited.

Regardless of when Marlowe, a 5-foot-9 and 151-pound athlete from Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney, got the offer. He cashed it in just recently.

"I got my offer on the weekend that I visited Nebraska actually," Marlowe said. "I did commit to Nebraska and I will be signing with them tomorrow morning.

"When I went that went that weekend to Lincoln, I got my offer. I just verballed to Coach Bo Pelini this weekend. I called him on Sunday and committed."

Marlowe said that there were a few key things that led him to believe that Nebraska was the right place for him. Overall, he just couldn't beat it.

"It was the whole atmosphere out there. It's such a family-like community. It was also all of the players and the coaches. They are really personable.

"I just felt like everyone really liked football out there. It's a great place to go and get an education and to play some football."
