Turk McBride talks recruiting

Some recruits have enough offers right now to fill up a good part of a wall in their bedroom. Some have enough to take it almost all the way around. And then, some like McBride, well, they're deciding on which room to go to next. That's life when you are one of the best at your position in the entire country.

Turk McBride (Camden, NJ (Woodrow Wilson)) (DE-6'4-237-4.53/40-405/bench-455/squat) Turk is rated, by many services, as one of the top DE in the nation. The Insiders confirms this as Turk is currently rated as the #6 player as his position.

He currently holds 43 offers in his hand, has a list of favorites that he admits "Changes weekly, depending on what he hears from friends and family." But he did say right now Miami, Tennessee, Iowa, Michigan, and West Virginia are currently his favorites.

Turk has been a one man wrecking crew for opposing offenses amassing 9 sacks, 1 interception, forcing 4 fumbles, and one blocked punt to go along with his 40 or so tackles for the season.

So how does a player decide where he's going to commit? Is it just one factor or numerous ones? With Turk the answer was a combination of things "I need to click with the coaches and other players there. Chances are I'm going to be pretty far away from my family so I need to feel comfortable with where I end up. Tradition will probably play some part as well" He did go onto say that weather will be a small factor if even a factor at all.

Turk also has recently taken his first official, which was to Tennessee "It went very well. I can't compare it to any others since it was my first. I'll have to wait and see." He also has a second one set up for Michigan on the 13th of December.

Turk has a core GPA of 2.9 and has retaken the SAT.
