Haste does not make waste

Ok, so it's a corny title, but it hardly describes the type of play from Brett Haste. Physical, powerful and big, Haste has the body type you look for when trying to find a "big ugly" for on either side of the trench. His solidity also serves a double-purpose this year, not just describing his frame, but his position as well.

Brett Haste- Aurora, CO (Eaglecrest, HS) (6'5-295-5.4/40) Currently having no offers has not discouraged Brett at all as it would most "I know I can play at the next level. It's been hard with me switching positions and everything." Brett who had a very successful junior year playing DT has switched to center this year "They needed someone who could play there, I changed for my team."

This entire process has probably hurt Brett's chances of being a "rated" recruit. His success as a jr. at his DT position was enough to get him on most "experts" lists, but playing center for his 1-8 Eaglecrest high school has limited his exposure to those who might have been interested in him.

Right now the letters are coming in from such schools Colorado, Oregon, Nebraska, but the offers will be doubtful and Brett accepts this "Come next spring and summer I'm going to visit some campuses and possibly see where I can walk on. I can always earn a scholarship."

Brett has yet to take the ACT/SAT.
