Add another visitor to the list

The Huskers are hitting Texas hard and there is always a need for players from the Lone Star State. This particular player is intriguing, to say the least. There is a need for taller cornerbacks that can still move, this player can do that. This player also has valuable playing experience at safety and basically could play any position in the secondary. As of now, he will be in Lincoln.

Nebraska is adding a late visitor to the list this weekend. Yahshua Williams, a 6-foot-3 and 185-pound cornerback from Denton (Texas) Ryan, is taking up Nebraska on their invite to their spring game.

"I was invited," Williams said. "I am trying to go. I am trying to take off on Friday night. It's about a 10 hour drive."

Williams is looking to get a feel for the players and the coaches that are already in Lincoln. He also wants to have a look at what Lincoln is like and what it has to offer.

"Really to get a better visual of the guys that are up there if I got a scholarship to play there. I just want to see what's up there for me and see what it's like."

About the offer, Williams says that Nebraska's contact with him indicates that they are very interested. He hopes that his trip to Lincoln indicates his interest in them as well.

"Yeah, I am getting letters. They are keeping me tuned in and keeping in touch. Hopefully we can talk about that this weekend."

As a junior, Williams tallied 42 tackles, eight passes broken up, one interception and one caused fumble playing primarily as a cornerback. Earned first team all-district honors.
