The New Jersey Nightmare

Straight out of Joizey, Dan Mazan finds himself wanted from coast to coast. His combination of hands, feet, size and strength have driven his stock up and his opponents down. He's already got a few teams in mind, but you can bet there will be a furious rush by colleges to be one of the rest.

Dan Mazan – Carteret, NJ (OL-6'4-300-4.9/40) This New Jersey offensive lineman is a nightmare for opposing defenses averaging nearly 10 pancake blocks a game. "Were 6-1 right now. Most of my playing time is spend at either offensive guard/center (app. 60 pancake blocks), but I've also been playing some DE." It's no wonder Dan has gotten 35 offers in writing and some other offers that have come in "verbal" form.

Being busy with the current season and heading into the play offs has reduced the time Dan has been able to narrow down his current list of favorites, but several names have been there all along "Ohio St., Nebraska, Penn St., Oregon, Florida, Florida St., BC, and UCLA" to just name a few.

He has been able however to set up two officials during this hectic time. Penn St. will get an official on the 12th of December and Nebraska will receive one on the 17th of January. "I've already been to Penn St., and I love it there. I just want to take one there (official) because I had such a good time before."

And unlike a lot of offensive lineman who don't mind red shirting to gain weight and learn at the next level, Dan wants playing time early. "Right now playing time might be the biggest thing for me right now. Getting along with the offensive coaches is big too."

Dan believes he is now fully qualified academically.
