Pulls the trigger

The Cornhuskers were able to nab four linebackers last year in the 2008 class, of which, you might only see two of them playing the linebacker position at the end of their careers. The need for depth is there for the Huskers at the linebacker position and it seems that they are making another big step in filling it.

In a newspaper article published this morning by the Times-Tribune from Scranton, Penn. is reporting that Shawn Bodtmann has committed to be a Nebraska Cornhusker. The 6-foot-0 and 205-pound Bodtmann is also a standout fullback.

Big Red Report was told last night that Bodtmann did indeed commit yesterday to the Cornhusker staff, but didn't want to comment or announce the commitment.

The commitment by Bodtmann makes it the second for the Cornhuskers with the other being from Cole Pensick who is also slated to probably join Bodtmann on the defensive side of the football for the Cornhuskers.

The Sranton Times-Tribune article reporting the Bodtmann commitment story can be found here:

Big Red Report will work to bring you the comments from the newest Cornhusker himself later today.
