"If they offer, I'll probably commit"

When it comes to recruiting, Denton Guyer offensive lineman Jesse Coffey has been on the radar for some time now. He holds about five offers at the moment, and is carefully looking into finding the right fit. But there is one school in particular that has caught his full attention. Scout.com has the update.

Football recruiting for Denton (TX) Guyer offensive lineman Jesse Coffey started back during off-season of his sophomore year when he got an offer from Tulsa. Since then, the 6-foot-8, 275-pound Coffey has seen things really take off.

"It (recruiting) started off real slow this (junior) season, but lately it has started to pick up and my name is getting out there," Coffey said. "I picked up my first offer my sophomore year, but since then I have offers from Central Arkansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico State, and I just picked up Central Florida on Friday."

Other schools that are in pursuit of him include Oklahoma State, Utah, and Boise State. As far as visits this off-season, Coffey has already been to Texas A&M, Arizona, and Texas Tech.

But, according to Coffey, all of these offers are good, but there is one Big 12 school in particular he waiting for to offer.

"Texas A&M is No.1 for the moment. Nebraska and Arizona are pretty high up there as well," Coffey said.

Coffey has already been to College Station several times and is very familiar with the coaching staff and the academic package that the university offers. Schools that are on his summer agenda are Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and possibly Stanford and Texas Tech.

With his apparent feeling towards the Aggies, is it safe to say he would commit if offered?

"Well, if they (Texas A&M) offer I'll probably commit," Coffey said. "As far as the other schools, I would want to see the school and meet the coaches before I do. With (Texas) A&M, I have already done the research with the athletics and the academics. So as soon as I find the right school, I'll commit."
