In Lincoln on Friday

The name Gabe Lynn has been on the lips of Husker fans since big brother, Phillip Dillard, signed with Nebraska. Now, Gabe is a senior at Jenks (Okla.) and has offers from just about everyone. It seemed that the Huskers might have been on the outside looking it at one point, but Lynn is heading up to see Lincoln again and talk to the new staff.

Gabe Lynn, a 6-foot-1 and 180-pound cornerback from Jenks (Okla.), will take a trip later this week. He is headed north for a one-day camp.

"I am going to Lincoln," Lynn said. "I go up on Thursday. I will be there Thursday evening and just for Friday. I will work out on Friday."

Lynn has been to Lincoln plenty of times. Brother to projected starting linebacker Phillip Dillard, Lynn knew a lot about the old staff under Bill Callahan, but not a lot about the new staff under Bo Pelini.

"I am hoping that I get to work with the position coach, Coach Marvin Sanders, get a feel for him and just get to know some of the players. I have been there a lot, but only once as a recruit with this staff."

Gabe is hearing some pretty good things about the differences today with the staff and the team to the way that it was. From his brother, the new staff are headed in another direction in comparison to the old staff.

"I can only go by what I hear from Phil. He told me that he didn't see eye to eye with the old staff. He told me that this staff will give me a fair shot, there are no favorites or waste my time.

"I met Coach Marvin Sanders one time. In that one time I got to think that he was a really nice guy and really cared about his players. It's something that stands out to me about him in the little time I got to know him."

Lynn will leave Lincoln Friday night for his ACT test on Saturday morning.
