"I love being physical," Dent said. "I use my size to my advantage. I just get after people. I can stop the run and rush the quarterback, but if I had to choose one I would say I like getting to the quarterback more."
That makes sense that Dent would say that because 10% of his tackles last year were sacks and a good majority of them happened on the offense's side of the line of scrimmage.
"I had 50 tackles last year. 15 of those were tackles for loss. I also had five sacks. I was first team all-district last year and was honorable mention all-state."
While Dent is sitting on a fair number of offers right now he is not ready to start trimming his list by any means. He has taken some visits up to this point and has another one planned.
"I am still open. I just don't have any favorites and haven't eliminated anyone. I am looking at being comfortable at the school I choose. I also want to be a fit with the school and the football program.
"I have visited LSU for their spring game, to junior days at Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State already. I am looking to make it down to LSU again for a mini-camp. I don't have a timetable for my decision."
LSU is a team that Dent mentions a lot, but they have not offered. Dent says that LSU is showing a lot of interest, "Yes they have. They have been recruiting me a lot."
One of the teams that Dent has an offer from is Nebraska. Dent said that with along liking LSU he liked LSU's defense last year. That is one of the things that he likes about Nebraska and their new head coach.
"Nebraska is definitely in my top 5. I like my recruiting coach, Tim Beck. He's a real nice guy. I like the Blackshirt tradition at Nebraska. That's cool. Having Bo Pelini is something to look at and consider with Nebraska."
