"I was a first team all-district pick," Goodlow said. "I ended up with 109 tackles and four interceptions. From my linebacker position I can just get to the ball.
"I am a real hitter and love to come up and hit people. I can support the run, but what I really like to do is blitz. I love to blitz. That's my favorite."
Goodlow is holding onto a double-digit total for offers. Teams from the Big 12, Big 10, PAC 10 and SEC conferences have stepped up to offer this athletic and productive linebacker.
"I have 11 offers. They are from Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Colorado, Kansas, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, Iowa State, Tulsa and UTEP. I haven't thought about my favorites yet. I won't until school starts.
Goodlow is looking for a good education when he picks a school. He is also looking for a school that has a team whose defense is their strength and a strong defensive tradition.
One of the teams that has offered him that offers him a defensive tradition is Nebraska. The Huskers have used the Blackshirt tradition to their benefit when it comes to recruiting Goodlow.
"Their Blackshirt tradition is really, really attracting me to them. They have a head coach that is defensive minded and they have that tradition. That is going to be a point of strength for them. It would be fun playing on that defense."
There might be a package deal brewing in Dallas as well. Texas A&M commit, Chris Henderson, is now officially looking around and Goodlow mentioned that one team that they have talked about is Nebraska.
"Chris Henderson and I are close. It would be good if we would both go to Nebraska. That would be a person that I would know, know how he plays and that would be a lot of fun."
