Brown likes Nebraska

Nebraska coaches are back in the offices and the first recruit to visit after the big Cody Green commitment is 6-foot-5 and 205-pound wide receiver, Brady Brown. The Huskers were in on Brown early in the process and finally got a chance to host him. What did Brown think about his experience in Lincoln and how did he rate the visit?

Nebraska got a chance to host one of their bigger wide receiver targets today, Brady Brown. Brown, a 6-foot-5 and 2-5-pound wide receiver from Argyle (Texas), was just leaving Nebraska.

"We just got out," Brown said. "It was great. All of the coaches were very helpful and they showed us around to all of their facilities."

Brown got a chance to talk to a lot of the coaches today in Lincoln. The coaches told Brown and his family about the Nebraska fan base and that was one of the things that stood out to Brown about the trip.

"All of the coaches were really great. They would all tell me about how great the fans are there. I thought it was really cool how the state backs up the football team."

There was a chance for Brown to sit down with his potential position coach to talk about how they saw him fitting in. Brown likes how Nebraska sees him in their offense.

"I spoke to Coach Ted Gilmore and he told me that they liked me as the "X" receiver or the outside guy. He told me that I could develop a lot like Maurice Purify.

"He said that I was a big guy like him and that I could use my strengths and size like he did to play the position. I can see myself in their offense."

The visit went very well for Brady and his family. On a scale of 1-10 against just the expectations that he had of Nebraska; Brown rated Nebraska very high.

"I would say that it had to be a "9", definitely a "9". I thought that it was a great place and the facilities were second to none. Everything was great in Lincoln."

Nebraska was actually the second visit for Brown in two days. He and his family flew into Omaha and drove south for a visit first before coming back to Nebraska.

"We visited Kansas on Monday. We flew into Omaha on Monday and went to Kansas first and then drove up to Lincoln from there. We are heading back to Omaha."

As of right now, Brown thinks that he will take an official visit to Nebraska. "It was a great place. I can definitely see myself taking an official visit this fall."
