Coming back up

It was a long three to four weeks waiting for Cody Green to commit if you asked any Nebraska fan. Since then there has been some relief. More relief has come down by way of other comments from Cody and his mom saying Cody is solid and is done with his recruiting. Cody Green returns to Lincoln for the first time since committing and has some things that he wants to do in Lincoln.

Cody Green, Nebraska commitment and five-star recruit, will be coming up to Lincoln again this week. The 6-foot-4 and 200-pound Green from Dayton (Texas) will be in Lincoln this Thursday through the weekend.

"I am coming up there this week with my sister," Green said. "My sister is taking a class up there. I think that it's Football 202 or something with Bo Pelini."

While big sis has her schedule around a class, Cody is going to get some time to do some things while he is up there as well. Green hopes to meet some more of the players.

"While I was up there for the quarterback academy I didn't meet a lot of the players. I would like to hang out some more with some of the players. I would also like to look around the campus some more."

Green said that the support for his commitment to Nebraska has been overwhelming. Fans and family have come forward to tell Cody good luck as a Husker over MySpace, facebook and some family have called him.

"I have had nothing but great support from all the fans. I actually found out that there are a lot of people that I know that are Nebraska fans. That really blew me away.

"There is a family that we know in Austin that came out and said that they are huge Nebraska fans. They also said that they have a big reason to come up and see more games in Lincoln."

While most of the plans for Green will be Nebraska related there is also going to be some down time. In his down time, Green wants to get out and check out some of the fishing holes around Lincoln.

"I think that I am going to get a chance to go fishing while I am up there, but I am not sure. I really hope that I am going to get that chance. I can't wait to get up there this week."
