Huskers wrapping up game-week preparations

Nebraska went inside Memorial Stadium to finish up practices as they finalize preparations for the season-opener against Western Michigan.

The team went with no pads today as they gear up for the season-opener against Western Michigan. The only question mark going into this game has been the status of starting right tackle Lydon Murtha, who has had a muscular problem with his left arm. Murtha didn't practice today, but Nebraska Head Coach Bo Pelini said that Murtha could have practiced if needed, and he does expect him to play this weekend.

In attendance for today's practice and immediately following was Larry the Cable Guy. When asked what if any inspiring words of confidence the comedian had to offer, Pelini said "He said to Get 'er done."

Nebraska will go through a walk-through tomorrow, and Pelini said that the team will take in a movie tomorrow evening.

The game this weekend is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 P.M. central time, and the latest Vegas line on the contest has Nebraska 14-point favorites over Western Michigan.

Audio coming up shortly with Head Coach Bo Pelini.
