The University of Nebraska has announced that the Huskers' Sept. 13 matchup with New Mexico State will kick off at 6 p.m. The game will be televised on a pay-per-view basis by Big 12 Special Order Sports, Fox Sports Net's pay-per-view division.
The New Mexico State
game will be the third straight Husker game to open the season that will be available on a pay-per-view basis. Nebraska
defeated Western Michigan
last Saturday evening at Memorial Stadium and will take on San Jose State
this Saturday. New Mexico State will be opening its 2008 season in Lincoln. The Aggies were set to open their season this Thursday against Nicholls State, but Hurricane Gustav has forced that game to be postponed.
The pay-per-view telecast for the San Jose State game this Saturday begins at 11:30 a.m., with kickoff set for 11:40 a.m. Fans should contact their local cable or satellite system for more information on ordering either of the games scheduled for pay-per-view. Complete information on the availability of the game will also be regularly updated on Huskers.com. Suggested retail price for the pay-per-view telecasts is $29.95.
Game times and television coverage for the remainder of the games on the Huskers' 2008 schedule will be set 6 to 12 days in advance of kickoff.
