Nebraska is looking for some help across the defensive line for 2009. More than that, there is a need for a player to possibly come in, learn quickly and play early in their career because Nebraska loses some of their top interior, defensive lineman to graduation. The Huskers will get a chance to host this big defensive tackle this weekend.
It's a name that is fresh on the radar for Nebraska fans, but Latu Heimuli has been recruited for a while by the Nebraska staff. At 6-foot-4 and 305-pounds, Heimuli might be what the doctor ordered for the Huskers.
"I take my first trip this weekend," Heimuli said. "I am going to visit Nebraska. My recruiting coach is Ted Gilmore and he told me that Nebraska is really nice and that they are looking for some help at defensive tackle."
The rest of this update will be brought to you tomorrow night from Big Red Report.
