"We played our first game down in Florida, it was so hot down there, it was miserable. The first day we got there we had a practice and I've never sweated so much in my life. We played Timber Creek, who was ranked 10th in 6 A football in Florida, until we beat them.
"We had three interceptions, so that made the game look closer that in really was. In our second game we blew out Fruita Monument (Colo.) 47-6. Our biggest test will be in a few weeks when we play Columbine. We upset them last year in the playoffs, so a lot is riding on that game."
With all that going on, Sirles found time to set up three official visits so far.
"I have three visits set up," said Sirles. "I'm going down to ASU next weekend for their game against Georgia . Then I'm going to Nebraska for their game against Missouri (Oct 4), then the next weekend after that I'm going to Oregon for their game with UCLA (Oct 11).
"I'm looking forward to these visits, and seeing what game day is like at each school."
It appears the Huskers are still making a strong push.
"I still talk to coach Cotton every week, and I get a lot of the handwritten letters from them. I also get letters from head coach Bo Pelini. They definitely make me feel wanted. I've also seen both their games this year, and they look real good. I can't wait to get up there for my official and check things out."
Sirles did mention Texas Tech as another team he might potentially visit, but added "when it feels right I'll commit". Big Red Report will touch base with Sirles as his Nebraska visit approaches, so stay tuned.
