Logan thinks he could help the Huskers

With a serious need at safety in the '09 recruiting class, Nebraska is focused on bringing in playmakers at the position. One of the top uncommitted safety prospects left on the board is Alex Logan from Denver (Colo.) Mullen high school. Did the Huskers make a good impression on the talented defensive back?

Nebraska hosted several top prospects this weekend, one being Alex Logan. And even with the Huskers losing a tough game, it seems sometimes there is a silver lining for recruits.

"Yeah it was a tough loss for the Huskers, but they still went all out," said Logan. " You can't win every game. But I saw where they could use a player like me in the secondary, they definitely need some safeties next year. I think I could come in and help."

Alex said he also enjoyed getting time to meet the Husker coaches one-on-one.

"The coaches up here are awesome, they are really knowledgeable about the game. I'm still up in Lincoln now, just hanging out with them. I took the tour of the campus today too, its really impressive up here."

"They have everything you could want academically, and athletic wise."

Alex mentioned he still wants to take a few more visits before he decides, but one thing is for sure, Husker Nation made an impact.

"I still need to take another visit or two before I decide. But I really like what I'm seeing here, the fan support here is on another level. I've been to a couple places but Nebraska is at the top."

"Just walking around before the game you get the sense how much football means to the fans. I like that a lot."
