Still looking around?

As we have seen various times, a commit isn't always the binding agreement that it seems. It's not always for bad reasons, but for a variety of reasons that people decide to change their mind. Is Courtney now thinking of something along those lines, having already pledged his services to the Hokies? Check out the update to find out.

Courtney DensonMiami, FL (Central) –(QB-6'0-180-4.42/40) Sometimes when a player commits early to a school it's a relief to that player, no longer wondering where he will be come next fall. But, to others it's a burden. They start wondering if they made the right decision, they wonder if possibly something out there may be better. Courtney may fall into that last group of players.

"Right now I'm still committed to Virginia Tech and I'm still fairly confident that's not going to change." But, there have been whispers that may not be the case, could Courtney still be looking? When I asked Courtney if he was 100% solid for the Hokies he wouldn't really give a straight answer, but did mention he may take two more official visits to make sure. "Auburn and Nebraska have been calling, I don't know if I'm going to take visits to either of those places, I might. I think I made the right decision already, but I do need to make sure, I don't want to make a mistake."

Courtney's season ended in the first round of districts, they were undefeated up until that point (10-1) "We had a good year over all, I wish we could have gone farther, but I'm not going to call this season a failure." And how could you call this season a failure when you are awarded the Dade Country Offensive Player or the Year award? Courtney passed for over 1900 yards and 21 touchdowns. Rushing Courtney wasn't sure of the yards, but thought it was semi-close to 1,000 while adding another 12 touchdowns on the ground.

Courtney's is looking for a school that has good academics that he can also make an immediate impact on the field. "I know what I can do and I know I can make a difference. I'd prefer that chance to be sooner than later."

Courtney is full qualified scoring an 1160 on the SAT
