Washington rates trip a "10"

There are only a couple of things that can hinder a weekend for the school and a recruit. One, is the weather. This weekend in Lincoln was beautiful weather though. The second is the outcome of the game. The Huskers suffered a pretty bad defeat, but for the most part the news of the recruiting weekend is positive. Dijon Washington confirmed this to be true.

Nebraska was hosting six, very important official visitors, with one of them being Dijon Washington of Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger. Washington, a 6-foot-1 and 180-pound defensive back, thinks Nebraska is a place where he can go and play.

"It was cool," Washington said. "I liked the game the most. It was the fans. The effort of the team let me know that it's a place where I could play college football."

During the game, Washington felt like he could fit in the style of defense that Nebraska runs. More than that, he recognized the need for defensive backs in Lincoln.

"I see a need for all of the defensive backs. They made a lot of mistakes in their secondary that cost them big. I think that they are in need of all secondary positions."

Washington also liked the facilities. The visit earned a top mark from Washington and said that the only thing that could have been better would have been the outcome of the game.

"The facilities were great. They have a lot of great facilities. The visit was a "10". It was a great visit. If they would have won, that would have been the only thing I would have changed."

There is still some recruiting process left for Washington. He would like to make some more trips and then be able to make a decision at the end of the season.

"I am probably going to take some more visits. I am going to make my decision at the end of my season. I am going to narrow my options down and make a choice."

There is one school that he would like to go and look at, but all of the schools that are still recruiting him are being considered. Nebraska is towards the top of his list right now.

"I am probably going to visit Oregon State. I am still considering any and all schools. I really don't have a top of my list. Nebraska is high though. They have always been high."
