"The season is going good," Blake said. "We had a tough loss last week against Bowie. They played great and we had an off night. We picked the wrong night to play bad.
"We are 2-1 in district play and they have a loss in the district. It's still up in the air. We play Pflugerville which is the only undefeated team left in the district this week. It should be a good one."
Blake is having an outstanding season and is making an impact in a variety of different ways. Blake is the type of player that defensive coordinators must locate on every play.
"I have 1,300 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns. I have one kickoff return, one passing, seven receiving and four rushing. I am doing a little bit of everything, but primarily receiving."
There are already a couple of official visits under Blake's belt and he has one other scheduled. There are at least three schools that he is looking at potentially visiting.
"I have taken visits to Boston College and Colorado. I am going to Texas Tech on November 1. I am going to visit Missouri or Kansas or Florida. I don't know for sure. I have offers from all except for Florida."
The visits that Blake lists are also the schools that he says are on top of his leader board. One of those teams is definitely lower than the other five.
"I would say that those six schools, the ones I visited and the ones that I will visit are my favorites. I will probably visit Missouri and Kansas just because Florida hasn't offered yet."
Texas was a team that was still showing Blake some interest. He has been in contact with Texas as recently as a week ago.
"I talked to Coach Davis about a week ago. He wants me to just be patient. They want defensive recruits first and just one wide receiver in my class. It's still just a grey shirt offer."
Nebraska is another school that has offered Blake and he says that Nebraska isn't off his list, yet. However, he admits that you have to draw that line because you only get five visits.
"No. I don't think that Nebraska or anyone is completely off my list. As much as I would like to, I can't visit all the schools. You have to draw the line somewhere."
With two visits taken, one set and probably two others planned; things are winding down for Blake. He even said that the process will be over when he takes these other trips.
"I think that I am getting to a point where I think that I am ready to make a decision, but I still want to take all of my visits. I want to make sure I know where I want to go."
