Recent Visit a Blast for Ankrah

Four-star defensive lineman Jason Ankrah has been a major point of focus for both Penn State and Maryland fans for months now given that his teammate Travis Hawkins was also looking at both programs, however one team to look out for now is definitely the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Quince Orchard High School athlete Jason Ankrah has plenty of offers to choose from, however he has started to narrow the list down recently and now says he is focused on several schools. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end recently took an official visit to Nebraska and came away extremely impressed.

"I loved it at Nebraska," Ankrah exclaimed. "The people there really love football and it was crazy in the crowd. I was walking through to get to my seats and people just starting chanting my name when they saw me which was off the hook. Then they were just wild the whole game. I really like that support for their team."

"The players and coaches were real cool down there too and I definitely felt like I fit in immediatley with everyone," Ankrah added. "I'd definitely give the visit at least a 9 out of 10."

We asked the Gaithersburg, Md., product if he had any favorites and while he answered the question we couldn't pull any schools out of him.

"Right now I'm seriously looking at Maryland, Penn State, Nebraska, Michigan, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State. I have some leaders in mind, but I haven't seen everyone yet, so I'm not going to say."

Another question that popped up was how much the commitment of Travis Hawkins to Maryland would play in his commitment.

"I care about going to school with Travis a lot," Ankrah stated. "We have wanted that the whole time and it could definitely happen, but I need to take my visits and see what's right for me at the same time."

On the season, Quince Orchard is 9-1 in Maryland Class AAAA football and Ankrah has helped them along with 48 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
