Set to see Nebraska

There is still a pressing need for Nebraska in this year's recruiting class and it's on the defensive line. The Huskers are looking to probably take at least one more defensive end and tackle, but just like every other year, those positions are a little hard to come by. Nebraska has been doing their homework though and found one in Louisiana who will visit this next week.

A new name for Husker fans is Bennie Logan from Coushatta (La.) Red River. The 6-foot-2.5 and 245-pound Logan, and his team, are making a run at the state title.

"We are still playing," Logan said. "We are 11-2 right now. We are through the first round. We are trying to win the title."

As defensive end, Logan does it all. He can stop the run and pursue from the back-side, but he does consider himself an expert in one area. "I just make plays. I would say that I am a pass-rushing expert."

Logan said that he is holding offers from three schools and could be expecting a couple of more anytime. He takes his first visit this weekend. "I have an offer from Nebraska, Louisiana-Lafayette and Northwestern State. I go to Nebraska this week."

Nebraska has been after Logan for a while and he said that he really likes his recruiting coach. At this point, he hasn't thought about the upcoming trip a lot.

"I don't know. I haven't thought about it yet. Coach J.P. (John Papuchis) is a good guy. He's straight with me and he's the defensive ends coach."

Logan isn't making any promises about committing or coming home uncommitted. He says that if the situation is right that he will become a Husker. "If I feel like its right, and they give me a chance, then I might commit."
