Nebraska gets another from Texas

The 2009 class for Nebraska is closing, quickly. The Nebraska staff have been on a tear as of late gathering commitments, especially on the defensive side of the ball in the secondary, trying to put the finishing touches on this class. Earlier today, this cornerback from Texas saw the last school he wanted to see and it didn't compare to Nebraska.

Nebraska adds another to a rapidly closing class in the defensive secondary. The Huskers landed a commitment from Andrew Green from San Antonio (Texas) James Madison.

"He did commit (to Nebraska)," Green's uncle said. "Andrew isn't even home yet. He took his last visit to Missouri this weekend.

"He hasn't made it in from Missouri yet, but that was his last visit. He has been holding his decision until he went to Missouri."

Green has been very private throughout the recruiting process not trying to get caught up in all of the hype. Methodically, Green had to see how some others stacked up to Nebraska where he visited the first weekend in September.

"From Missouri, Andrew said that no one beats Nebraska. That was when he called Nebraska and committed."

Green's uncle said that Andrew would be home later tonight and Big Red Report will follow up with him later.
